A lovely prayer written by a woman who was "searching" within her heart.
Mighty HaShem,
I can't say the words today. They are beautiful and clear in my siddur. But this day, I somehow can't say them. I long for knowledge of You, for nearness to You,
But I can't say the words. Responsive readings and prescribed prayer do not sit on my tongue today. I find no kavanah when I rise to praise You, to declare Your Oneness. I am in the congregation, but not of the congregation. My eyes wander to the window, my thoughts to the ordinary. Do You read my silence, hear the whirl of my thought? You must. I know You do! For at this moment, I feel as close to You As if I sat at the foot of the very throne of Heaven.
Thank You for sharing your beautiful Shekinah With your children, Israel.
