I ran as fast as I could

I dropped everything & ran
when I heard you were gone
There was no one I knew
on the plane I got on

When l got to your house
everything was in place
as if you'd stepped out
but that wasn't the case

I should've took off
just ran hard & fast
changing the moment
so it couldn't last

then I might have found you
just standing alone
no matter the cost
I'd have just brought you home

There's been so many laughs
that we could've shared
and times without you
that I've been really scared

You'd have fun with my husband
and I know he'd love you
he takes care of me mom
& loves

HaShem too

When I look in the mirror
there's so much of your face
but you here with us
would have brightened our space

I miss you.
