This is said at the grave of a husband or wife.
Beloved Lord of all the world, Hear my prayer And welcome it With Your great mercy and grace. And allow me to benefit From the merit Of all those saintly men Who are known by their own holy names, And through the merit of the Torah, And for their good deeds.
So I have come to this grave To praise Your holy name, And prostrate myself upon the grave, And beg You, Lord of all the world, To give us long life In happiness and wealth, Honor and good fortune, And good health.
And may we never lack Food and nourishment, And may we live long lives In the Jewish way Of Torah and good deeds. And may I fulfill The desire of my heart, so when my soul Is separated from my body, It may come here to You, And to the soul of this saintly man / saintly woman Who lies buried here, And may it be worthy to rise again With the souls of other saintly men And saintly women of Israel.
Amen.
